WT Honored Mary Wendler at Graduation Ceremony for Nursing Students

West Texas A&M University honors 35 graduating nursing students, and Mary Wendler during their annual Nursing Pinning Ceremony.

The event was held on May 6th and honored Mary, President Walter Wendler’s wife, who was a nurse for many years.

Wendler pinned each student with their own pin and gave her support to their future endeavors.

Each student who graduated extended from Lubbock all the way to Colorado. 

The Department of Nursing is ranked as a Top 10 school for nursing in the Nation with 70% of students going to Panhandle Hospitals.
