Gruver Man Dead After Motorcycle Crash

A Gruver man is dead following a Motorcycle crash in Potter County, on Friday.

Texas Department of Public Safety officials say the crash happened at 4:19 p.m. when 67-year-old James  Walter Ferguson, drove off southbound U.S.87.

DPS says Ferguson entered into the median, flipping the bike multiple times, and being thrown from it.

DPS notes Ferguson was wearing a helmet, but it came off during the violent crash and sustained severe damage.

This crash is still under investigation.
