Curry County Police Arrest

The Curry County Sherriff’s office says they’ve arrested a teenager on multiple felony charges.

Clovis police say they received a call on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and were told about three juveniles approaching him at Curry Road and New Mexico State Road 245.

The caller said the juveniles told him that they had been robbed.

During the investigation, deputies learned that three other juveniles driving a black sedan picked up two of the victim juveniles from a home in Clovis and a third was picked up from Portales. Sheriff’s officials say they were getting together to go smoke marijuana.

While traveling, the group picked up a 7th unidentified juvenile from an unknown location.

They go on to say the juveniles stopped and brandished firearms.

They then ordered the victims to give them their belongings, and fired the guns at the victim’s feet, as they ran away.

Police got a description of the victims and the car and a BOLO was put out,

The car was stopped in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Junior Blvd in Clovis.

A 15-year-old was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery,  Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon,  and false imprisonment.

More charges could be filed, and the investigation is still in progress.
