APD Cold Case Officially Closed

Officials say a then 14-year-old, Jessica Delgadillo was reported missing by her family and a lack of leads, 

The case eventually went cold and the Amarillo Cold Case unit in 20-23 took it over. 

Amarillo Police with the help of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, were able to update information on 14-year-old Jessica Delgadillo”s case.

Last November, APD received a call from a woman identifying herself as Delgadillo.

Identification markers were taken from the woman, and comparisons we sent to a known family member.

Police have confirmed the caller was Jessica and she has requested to remain anonymous, as to her location and details of her disappearance.

Police have closed the case.
