Body found and identified on Highway 287

Officials with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office were called to Highway 287 on reports of a body in the roadway. 

Once on the scene, the deputies identified the woman as Elizabeth Lujan. 

Her death was due to fatal injuries from falling out of a vehicle. 

Moore county deputies reached out to The Criminal Investigation Division.

An investigation was started and is assisted by the Texas Rangers, the Texas Department of Public Safety,  and the 69th District Attorneys Office. 

The investigation resulted in the arrest of Chadrick Lujan for manslaughter. 

At this point, the investigation is still ongoing.
