Tokens for Hope

The Salvation Army has launched a new program in Amarillo, with the hope to provide long term help to those in need.

“Tokens of Hope” can be bought from the Salvation Army, and given to people on the street, to easily allow them access to dinner and breakfast, as well as entrance to a life changing event.

The program is designed to ensure donations and funds are well spent, and give people more support than just today’s meal, with no thought about the days after.

Amarillo is one of three branches of the Salvation Army to enact this program and has seen great success so far.

These Tokens of Hope can be picked up at the Salvation Army Shelter at 400 South Harrison.
