AC Gathering for Webinar over a National Award

Amarillo College will converge on campus May 18th to hear the results for which community college is doing it better than all the rest. 

The Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence is the preeminent, biennial recognition of high achievement, and AC is one of this year’s 10 finalists.

The winner and runner-ups will be announced during a virtual webcast at noon, originating from the Aspen institute in Washington D.C. 

The webcast will also hear from college students at their respective finalist school and share how their college has changed their lives. 

The Award is given every 2 years to recognize positive and improving student outcomes, and is solely focused on student success, learning, degree completion at the institution, and employment and earning rates post graduation.
