TTUHSC Names Executive Director of Telehealth Technology

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center has named John Gachago, DHA, the new executive director for Telehealth Technology and Innovation.

Announced on Thursday, the 23rd, Gachago will be responsible for oversight and strategic management of the University’s efforts in the advancement of comprehensive telehealth.

The Health Sciences Center has been a pioneer in this field, serving over 160,000 patients in clinical telehealth visits since the start of the pandemic, and over 500 clinic providers have since accessed and used telemedicine. 

Texas Tech serves over 108 counties in the region, with hopes to establish an Institution centered around telehealth technology soon.
