TTUHSC Doctor Wins International Award

The Texas Tech Health Sciences Center had a prestigious honor bestowed recently. 

Dr. Josee Guindon, DVM, Ph.D. has spent years researching the science behind cannabinoids and cannabidiol effects on a person’s health. Whether in the forms of over-the-counter medicinal or recreational cannabis and CBD products used for anxiety and pain management to name a few.

Through these efforts, Dr. Guindon has been recognized as the 2023 William A. Devane Young Investigator Award honoree by the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS).

Guindon, a tenured associate professor in the department of Pharmacology and Neuroscience, will receive this award towards the end of June at this year’s ICRS Symposium in Toronto, Canada.
