New Light System to be Installed at Martin Road Complex

With the future of Amarillo sports looking as bright as it’s been, it’s going to be nice to see how bright these sports are in a quite literal sense. 

A sports field lighting ceremony will be set for 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 30th at the Martin Road Complex, located at 1374 Martin Road.

These lights will be the first of new installations across the city, replacing some systems that have been in place for over 50 years. 

This news comes after Amarillo City Council approved $7.5 million in funding back in January, with seven other parks having lighting replacements done over the next few months.
