Diabetes Awareness Month Meeting Announced

Beginning Thursday, November 16, Northwest Texas Healthcare System will partner with the High Plains Food Bank to offer a monthly support group for those diagnosed with diabetes.

The group will meet Noon to 1 p.m. at the High Plains Food Bank located at 815 Ross Street in Amarillo.

November is American Diabetes Month. Estimates suggest more than 37 million Americans have been diagnosed with diabetes. In fact, some reports show nearly 1 in 2 either has diabetes or prediabetes.
