Skellytown Volunteer Fire Department In Need Of Monetary Donations And Non-Perishable Foods

Two firefighters are recovering after being injured in a grass fire response on March 31st
The Skellytown Volunteer Fire Department is in need of monetary donations and non-perishable items.
The department has responded to 36 calls this year up from 18 this time last year.
There are fundraisers planned to help offset costs of keeping the department consisting of 25 volunteer firefighters open.
They are asking for beef jerky, crackers, and Gatorade.
Once funding is met, the department plans to repair two trucks that are currently out of service and get them back into circulation as soon as possible since they’re brush trucks.
