Potter County Commissioners Issue Burn Ban

The Potter County Commissioners declared a local disaster on May 16th due to local weather conditions.

Our area has endured a persistent pattern of dry and windy weather with forecasters predicting much of the same in the immediate future.

The commissioners have issued a burn ban and are restricting outdoor burning until the threat has passed.

The order prohibits all outdoor burning except for specific examples such as firefighter training and crop harvesting, and will continue until it is rescinded by the commissioners court.
