Pet Quarantine In Memphis Texas
March 22, 2019 10:59AM CDT
The Memphis City Council approved a 30-day quarantine for dogs and cats on Thursday.
This action was taken to combat the spread of rabies.
While the quarantine is in affect pets will have to remain on their owner’s property.
If a cat or dog is caught by animal control the pet’s owner will have to show documentation of vaccination, or the pet will be vaccinated at the owner’s expense.
The vaccination fee is $40 and the city will charge a $10 tag fee.
