Native American Legend Quanah Parker Statue Revealed

A statue was revealed on Wednesday of Quanah Parker, the last chief of the Comanche nation and a key figure in the foundation of the Golden Spread.

The event took place at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport and the statue will be inside the second floor of the terminal building.

The donation was made by the family of King Hill, whose father, Jack Hill, was the original creator of the piece.

Mr. Hill was in attendance as will Nancy Boles, the great granddaughter of Parker.

Boles said she is so honored and thankful to be apart of this special day.
