Local Teachers named Region 16 teachers of the year

Region 16 has announced the elementary and secondary teacher for the year 2022.

Tiffany Ryals from Amarillo ISD was named Elementary Teacher of the Year.

Ryals teaches 3rd grade language arts at Humphrey’s Highland Elementary.

Tricia Shay from Borger ISD was named Secondary Teacher of the Year.

Shay teaches English at Borger High School.

This year’s winners will represent Region 16 at the state Teacher Of The Year ceremony in October.
