Jeep Cherokee Accident and Fire on 10th Avenue

On Sunday morning, before 2 am, police were called to a wreck at Southeast 10th Avenue and Pittsburg Street.
A 1990 Jeep Cherokee was rolled over and engulfed in flames, with the driver inside.
The incident occurred when the vehicle heading east struck the concrete median, causing a loss of control and the rollover.
The driver hasn’t been identified, but the owner of the vehicle was informed of the incident.
An autopsy has been ordered by Justice of the Peace Gary Jackson, and the incident is under further investigation by the Amarillo Police Department Traffic Unit.
