A leader in the Hispanic Foods Company and Industry has officially broke ground in Amarillo.
Cacique LLC is a privately owned family company that was established in 1973 is one of the country’s top Hispanic food brands such as Hispanic cheeses, creams, yogurts, chorizos and salsas in the United States.
The new 200,000 square-foot facility will help meet the growing demand for Cacique’s high-quality products nationwide.
CEO of Cacique Gil de Cardenas spoke about a proclamation given to his company by Governor Greg Abbott.
Amarillo Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Kevin Carter said the company will bring in 200 plus new jobs, $30 million a year in economic growth and a total capital investment of over $100 million.
The facility will be located near south Georgia and Loop 335 and is expected to begin operations fall of 2022.
