AACC Notifies AC as Award Nominee

Amarillo College has just been notified that they are a finalist for an award. 

The 2021 Award of Excellence for Exemplary CEO/Board Relationship is offered by the American Association of Community Colleges.

It is presented to the college that shows collaboration between board members and the president, as well as the effective unity to continue governing the college successfully.

Other finalists include Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Warren County Community College in New Jersey.

On top of programs started in the past year, the board has also seen successful change to close equity gaps, double completion rates, and restart intercollegiate athletic programs. 

The winner will be announced May 27 along with recognizing the finalists.
