8-Year-Old Child Shot in Road Rage Incident

The father has confirmed the identity of 8-year-old son, Nicasio Raymond Frausto, also known as Nicco.

Friday night June 10th, Amarillo Police drove up to what appeared to be a car accident outside of Hodgetown stadium but ended up being a much worse situation. 

An 8-year-old child was shot after a road rage incident on 10th street, where a family came up to a traffic light before 58-year-old Frankie Lee Haigood ran a red light and almost hit the family in the process. 

When they honked their horn at Haigood, he proceeded to fire and drive away before the family chased him off the road, causing the wreck. 

Both sides went to an area hospital for their injuries, with the child in serious condition. 

The suspect has since been booked into the Potter County Jail for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
