Xcel To Raise Monthly Customer Bills

Xcel customers could see an increase in their monthly electric bills of about 10 dollars.

That’s because the state’s Public Utilities Commission approved a rate increase last year to cover the cost of operations and Xcel added new rates to bills in March.

So now, the energy company wants to recoup what it didn’t collect right after the rate approval.

The new charges will start in October if the PUC approves
