What Do You Think Should Be The Official Soft Drink Of Texas?

(Plano, TX) — Dr Pepper wants to be the official soft drink of Texas. Like many other states, Texas doesn’t have an official soft drink, but the makers of Dr Pepper say their fizzy beverage should get the nod. The Texas State Historical Association says Dr Pepper may be the oldest soft drink in the nation. A Waco pharmacist created it in 1885, and it’s been bottled since 1891. Dr Pepper has started a petition on Change-dot-org, asking for people’s support.
