Sludge, Municipal Codes and Enforcing Possible Mandates On Tuesday’s Agenda

In addition to a host of municipal code and aviation clear zone easement considerations, the Amarillo City Council will spend time Tuesday afternoon on discussion items such as the Odessa Resolution No. 2023-77 which, in short, says the city will not enforce mandates such as masks, vaccinations or lockdowns that might be imposed nationally.

The City Manager recruitment process will also be discussed.

Wastewater matters such as desludging and sludge transfer at both the Hollywood Road and River Road facilities are on the agenda. Equipment for River Road and a vertical turbine pump for Lawrence Lake will most likely be approved.

The City Council meeting is set for 3 p.m. Tuesday, 3rd Floor of City Hall. You can view all meetings online as well on the city’s website, amarillo.gov.
