Salvation Army Falling Below Expected Donations

There are only five days until Christmas, and the Red Kettle Campaign with the Salvation Army has fallen behind on their expected goal.

Sub-freezing weather is expected to hit the panhandle, and the red kettle is the primary way the salvation army funds its programs year-round to make a difference in many lives.

The pandemic has made some hurdles that the Salvation Army is working through.

Their goal for 2022 was set at $175,000 and has so far only reached $76,000.

Volunteers will continue to ring outside stores until Christmas Eve.
