Sabrina The Tiger Continuing To Help The Amarillo Zoo

Longtime Amarillo Zoo resident, Sabrina, a 16 year old Bengal Tiger was humanely euthanized earlier this month.
Still, Sabrina’s legacy is going on to help others of her species.
Sabrina’s health issues included an aggressive carcinoma. And tissue samples from the tiger are being used for scientific research from the cancers she battled..
The cancer cells from Sabrina are being studied at laboratories across the nation, including Texas A and M and Michigan State Universities.
The tests run on these cells will allow research facilities to have data for comparison into cancer research for tigers..
