Monday Afternoon Monroe Street Fire

A fire at 4007 South Monroe Street Monday afternoon was quickly put out by Amarillo Firefighters.

The blaze was called in at 3;14 P.M. and upon arriving they found the back of the home on fire along with a fence and deck.

Fire was also spreading to a nearby home.

Crewmembers were ableto contain the blazeto the 4007 address, stopping any damage to a neighboring house.

All residents were outside the house with no injuries reported, and the Red Cross was called in to provide family assistance.
