Maverick Boys and Girls Clubs of Amarillo Closed Due To Covid Concerns Till August 4th

Due to Covid-19 Cases, the Maverick Boys and Girls Clubs of Amarillo will be closed until the beginning of August.
The club said they had been told about multiple cases of the virus and had decided to close after consultation with both the Amarillo Public Health and Environmental Health Department.
Workers will clean and sanitize the building prior to reopening on August 4.
Parents with children showing the following symptoms were urged by the club to have those children tested for COVID-19:
- Temperature of 100.0 Fahrenheit or higher
- Sore throat
- New uncontrolled cough or difficulty breathing
- Diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain
- New onset of severe headache especially with a fever
- Loss of taste or smell; congestion or runny nose that is not typical
- Fatigue, significant muscle pain or severe body aches
- Chills or exaggerated shivering or shaking
