An 11 million dollar contract has been awarded for the completion of the Martin Road Lake improvements.
The lake’s final two phases have been awarded to the MH Civil Contractors that will allow for extra drainage capacity within the neighboring community and will remove 134 structures from the FEMA floodplain.
The project not only limits flooding but also beautification to the community as they are building a new fishing pond, a new walking trail, crosswalks and improved landscaping.
Completion of the project is expected in the Summer of 2023.
