“Know Before You Go” for the Week of January 8th

The Amarillo district of the Texas Department of Transportation has released its “Know Before You Go” report for the week of January 8th.
Here is the road construction you should be on the lookout for this week:
- The left lane of the eastbound I-40 frontage road will be closed between Arthur and Ross for drain repairs
- Various closures on the eastbound I-40 frontage road at Harrison street for patching
- Multiple lane closures on north Western Street and FM 1719 for overlay projects
On Tuesday, January 10th a TxDOT contractor will be connecting power to light poles in the I-27 median, affecting lane closures.
From 1-3 pm, the inside northbound lane before and after the Georgia Street bridge will be closed, and the inside northbound lane before and after the Washington Street bridge and the I-27 northbound entrance ramp from Washington Street will be closed from 7-9 pm.
