Counterfeit Money Hemphill County

Counterfeit money is making its way around Hemphill County.

The County Sheriff’s Office is making residents aware that the “funny Money” has recently been used

The office’s Facebook page states that counterfeit $100 bills are being used within the county. Officials stated that while the bills may appear legitimate, they are marked “THE UNITED STATES PLAY MONEY” in the upper right-hand corner and “COPY” in the upper left

The Sheriff’s Office says they are looking into the counterfeit money with the U.S Secret Service
