CoA Contains Spill At Lift Station #40

The City of Amarillo worked to contain a spill at the wastewater collection facility at Lift Station number 40 located northwest of town.

City Officials say it was due to a power outage and the failure of a backup generator which was restored Thursday afternoon and is now operational.

The spill flowed into a dry creek bed near 7100 Cliffside Road.

Disinfectant has been placed on the spill area with sampling and monitoring ongoing.
