City of Canyon Approves Capital Improvement Program

For the first time in The City of Canyon history, the City Commissioners approved the Capital Improvement Program.

The CIP is a planning document that identifies and prioritizes projects related to public facilities and services.

Projects focus on physical upgrades, extensions, or replacements to provide increased services for Canyon residents.

To qualify for CIP funding, projects must be at least $50,000 in cost, be a nonrecurring expense, Provide at least five years of benefit and be an addition to the City’s assets.
