Channing Four Day School Week

Driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way to pedestrians in a crosswalk.
The Channing School system could be in for a drastic change.
They plan on going to a four-day school week to complete a 75,600 in-person operational minutes.
The move will allow a change from Monday through Friday to Monday through Thursday.
Reducing to a four-day work week cuts the number of staff days to 167 so teachers and staff members will have a for day week unless professional development is planned on Fridays.
School officials say teachers are going to get the benefit because their daily pay will make the district more competitive because they will be working fewer days
The first day of school in Channing ai August 15th. The new schedule runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4;10 p.m.
