APD Makes Arrest In Meadow Drive Shooting Case

An arrest has been made in connection with the Meadow Drive shooting that occurred on July 24th

The Amarillo Police Department was called to the scene at 8:03 p.m. about a person who had been shot near Meadow Drive and Overlook Avenue.

When responders arrived they found the gunshot victim and took him to the hospital.

The suspect was not on the scene, but APD is still investigating and witnesses have been interviewed.

On July 26th Violent Crimes Detectives obtained a warrant for 32-year-old James D Horton, who was later located and booked into the Randall County Jail on charges of Aggravated Assault w/Deadly Weapon.
