APD Investigate an Early Morning Shooting

APD is investigating an early morning shooting on Dec 20th at the Relax Inn on the 6000 block of I-40 West. 

The incident happened at 10:57 AM. 

Officers arrived at the scene and were told the suspect has fled eastbound on I-40.

APD stopped the vehicle and determined that the man was the victim and was trying to help a friend when the suspect started to fight.

The victim grabbed the gun and fled with his friend from the Relax Inn.

No one was injured during the shooting.

The suspect has not been located by APD
