Amarillo Sailor Receives Warrior Of The Week Award

A local sailor has received an honor from the US Navy.
Personnel Specialist 3rd Class Brendan Merritt received the Warrior of the Week award for his outstanding performance.
Merritt is assigned to the USS Gerald R. Ford’s administration department. Ford’s executive officer, Captain Timothy L. Waits awarded the Amarillo native’s performance.
Ford is currently stationed at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding yard in Virginia.
