Amarillo Man Busted for More Than $450,000 Worth of Meth

An Amarillo man is under arrest after police report they found $456,000 worth of meth at the Greyhound Bus station.

A criminal complaint reports that an Amarillo Police K-9 officer working at the Greyhound Depot at 400 South Monroe Street when his dog conducting a free air sniff test alerted on the baggage storage area at the bottom of a bus.

A further investigation turned up a suitcase and the officer launched a probable cause search and found five plastic bottles of a crystal substance, consistent with methamphetamines. The suitcase was placed back on the bus.

When passengers arrived at the depot, they were told to get their belongings.

Jesus Mora Reyes picked up the suitcase the suspected meth was in and in an interview admitted to being paid to take the bag from California to Oklahoma City. The crystal meth weighed 5.7 kilograms and had a street value of $456,000.

Mora-Reyes is charged with possession to distribute methamphetamines.
