AEDC Updates New Business To Amarillo

The Amarillo Economic Development Corporation has updates on two new businesses coming to the city

A report to the County Commissioners shows the Cacique and Amazon Companys are on schedule to open this year with Cacique planning to be in operation by the fourth quarter. Kevin Carter, President and CEO of the AEDC says Cacique has steel in the air and they’re progressing along nicely. Amazon is for an opening date in early April.

Amazon Plans on Hiring 200 employees in the beginning and expanding from there, while Amazon hires six to seven weeks in advance of it’s operational date
