2,500 Volunteers Come Together for Xcel’s Day of Service

Xcel Energy wrapped up its 13th annual Day of Service with a fantastic showing across the country.

2,500 nationwide volunteers donated over 7,200 volunteer hours to more than 100 organizations, generating $230,000 in economic impact in communities.

The organization says 150 volunteers across Texas and New Mexico contributed 340 hours, good for an impact of $10,000.

Day of Service was started in 2010 as a tribute to the victims, survivors, and first responders involved in 9/11 as well as those who work to keep our country safe.
