WT Symphony Orchestra Featuring South Korean Soloist.

West Texas A&M University is having a Symphony Orchestra concert, and a South Korean Graduate Student will be the featured soloist. 

The concert will be on February 19th and Minkyoung Song will perform the first movement of Beethoven’s Piano concerto No. 1 along with the orchestra. 

Song came to WT to study for her master’s after faculty members and six students from WT visited South Korea to perform.

She attended a masterclass taught by Dr. Choong-ha Nam, a piano professor at WT, and decided to apply.  

The program will start at 7:30 pm in Mary Moody Northen Recital Hall and will also feature William Grant Still’s “Afro-American Symphony” from the 1930s.
