Walmart, Sam’s Club HPFB Donations

Walmart and Sam’s Club are teaming up to help local food banks, including the High Plains Food Bank.

The two stores are kicking off their Fight Hunger, Spark Change campaign. to provide people facing hunger access to the food and resources they need. 

Since 2014, the campaign has generated $186 million and helped secure 1.9 billion meals for the Feeding America network of local food banks.

Zack Wilson, executive director for High Plains Food Bank, says the campaign comes at a crucial time when 1 in 8 of our neighbors are struggling across the Panhandle.

The campaign will run online and in stores and there are three ways for shoppers to participate.

Donating at check-out registers, purchasing participating products in-store or online at Walmart.com, or going online to Feeding America.org/ Walmart or WWW. feeding America. org/Sam’s Club.
