Northbound US 87 Closed Due To Wreck.

The driver of a Texas Department of Transportation vehicle was northbound on US-287 in the left turning lane about to make a left turn at the crossover.  

The driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck was northbound in the inside lane behind the TXDOT vehicle and veered over into the left turning lane and crashed into the rear of the TXDOT vehicle.

The driver of the Dodge pickup was transported by air to the Amarillo Northwest Texas Hospital with serious injuries where he is in serious but stable condition.

The driver of the TXDOT truck was transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says a driver of a pickup rear-ended a Texas Department of Transportation vehicle.

The driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Southbound lanes are open.
