Two Vehicle Accident Claims Life

U.S. 287 Car Crash
A two-vehicle accident has claimed a life early Sunday evening.
Police were sent to South West 9th and Bushland Avenue on a wreck involving a motorcycle and a motor vehicle.
A Harley Davidson, driven by Tristan Dave Stewart of Amarillo, had been westbound on 9th Ave.
Stewart lost control of the motorcycle, crossed into eastbound traffic lanes, and struck a Dodge Grand Caravan head-on.
Stewart died at the scene from injuries
The 64-year-old male driver of the Caravan was taken to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Stewart was not wearing a helmet and Speed is a possible factor in this crash as the APD Traffic Investigation Squad continues to work on this case.
