TTUHSC Annual Day Of The Woman Event

Save the date. Tuesday, February 6, The Laura Bush Institute for Women’s Health at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center will host its annual Day of the Woman.

On this year’s agenda is a presentation from documentary filmmaker and suicide prevention activist Kevin Hines, whose message is that of hope through mental health.

Senior Director Angela Knapp Eggers says it’s crucial to note that the discussions during this event may be intense and emotionally challenging, and she encourages those attending to approach this event’s subject with empathy and sensitivity.

The Day of The Woman will be held in the Grand Plaza of the Amarillo Civic Center Complex. Scheduled time is 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tickets are $20. Tables of eight can be reserved for $150, dinner is included.
