Third Lawsuit Against Xcel

Xcel Energy is fighting a third lawsuit because of the recent Smokehouse Creek wildfire.

The lawsuit is being filed by a Hemphill County rancher, and targets damages caused by the blaze.

The damage focuses on the loss of cows and calves.

The lawsuit targets Xcel Energy Services, Inc., Southwestern Public Service Company and Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. 

Lawyers for the rancher, say the broader context involves different wildfires across Texas and accountability.
