Skunk In Claude Tests Positive For Rabies

The Armstrong County Sheriff’s Office is alerting the community of another case of rabies.

On Tuesday September 29th, the City of Claude received a call of a skunk seen laying by a car that was parked by the Courthouse that was acting erratically.

Animal Control was able to take the skunk into the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Lab where it tasted positive.

This is the 4th case of rabies in the county, 3 skunks and 1 bat.
