Rush Limbaugh offers Cancer Update: ‘I’m Under a Death Sentence’

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has revealed his cancer has progressed and he’s “under a death sentence.” Limbaugh, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in February, gave the grim update during his syndicated radio show on Monday, telling listeners, “It’s tough to realize that the days where I do not think I’m under a death sentence are over. Now, we all are, is the point. We all know that we’re going to die at some point, but when you have a terminal disease diagnosis that has a time frame to it, then that puts a different psychological and even physical awareness to it.” He went on to say after doctors thought they’d stopped his cancer’s growth and “it had become manageable,” a recent scan revealed it had started to spread again. “There’s always the reality and the knowledge that that can change and it can come back because it is cancer,” he said. “It eventually outsmarts pretty much everything you throw at it.”
