Randall County Man Dead After Fire

An elderly man is dead after a structure fire in Randall County.
The Randall County Fire Department responded to a call about the fire Monday near Sundown and South Western Street at 4pm.
Once on scene, crews learned that the caller found that the fire was inside the metal building where the man was later found dead.
The Fire Marshal determined the fire was accidentally caused by combustible materials being too close to welding operations.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
