Potter County Memorial Stadium
After 74 Years, Potter County Stadium is finally going to be demolished.
It’s estimated the former Gold Sox Ballpark will come down in a few monthsÂ
The ballpark contributes to whether or not the Tri-State Fairgrounds are booked for an event or not.
When the Fair is not in town, attendees of off-season events, enter on the 3rd Street side and the first thing they see is the dilapidated stadium.
Fairgrounds and city officials fear the impression of the stadium could cost them both money.
The space will be used in keeping with the master plan like a new building. Other master plan items include reevaluating the current barns and buildings, and the ballpark will be changed over to parking spaces before the September fair.
