Potter County Burn Ban Extension

Potter County has extended its temporary burn ban for 90 days.

As she spoke on “The Chat” Tuesday morning, Potter County Judge Nancy Tanner issued the ban because of the lack of moisture. 

Under the burn ban, outside burning will be prohibited for 90 days.

The outdoor ban means it’s only allowed in cases of safety and public health, firefighter training, planting or harvesting crops, prescribed burns, and public operations.
